Amanda Kleinman

Amanda Kleinman tells stories of plants and pollinators, in both formal and wild spaces, with film and digital photography. She has been a dedicated member of the art, music, and naturalist community of Washington, DC since 1993. Professionally trained in Special Education and Disability support, she has had life-long day jobs in K-12 special education and Higher Ed Disability Access.

From 2010-2018, Amanda provided disability and academic guidance to students and faculty at the Corcoran College of Art & Design & Corcoran School of Art. She is currently a Disability Access Advisor at American University.

In 2019, Amanda completed Master Naturalist certification and is a volunteer photographer for the Anacostia Watershed Society. She was a founding member of the local rock band, "The Apes" and currently plays keyboards with "Heavy Breathing”. Dedicated to DC, Plants, Birds, Climate, Kids (of all ages), Plants, Cats, Art People, and Rockers everywhere!
